Experimental Verification of the Parallelogram Law of Forces Using Elastic Bands

Here we put the parallelogram law of forces to the test in mechanics using a novel approach based on elastic bands. An easy-to-understand method of teaching students about basic mechanics, this study demonstrates that elastic bands can be utilized in place of a spring dynamometer to measure force by means of deformation.
